Our Origins

Primitas Learning Partnership was established in September 2021 as a cross-phase Multi Academy Trust, founded by Erasmus Darwin Academy and Highfields Primary Academy with a simple but ambitious aim: to create a close-knit family of schools united by unwavering commitment to educational excellence, collaboration and community.

It is important to note that our Trust was conceived - and born - during an unprecedented period in history; during a global pandemic and when we were forced to confront the reality that humanity is our most precious commodity, life is a team pursuit and that we need each other to survive, thrive and succeed. Consequently, these vital truths have become part of our DNA and we continually strive to be a people-centred organisation that does the right things in the right way for the right reasons.

Since our inception, it is fair to say that Primitas has experienced a very eventful, fast-moving and exciting start to life as a MAT , with actual and projected growth and development exceeding expectations.
