Staffordshire County Council
As a Multi Academy Trust with a passion for the local communities that we serve in South Staffordshire, we are proud of the close working relationship that we have developed with the Local Authority in order to shape local educational provision.
We were particularly delighted and honoured to be entrusted with our first Free School by the Local Authority in June 2025 and as a result of this partnership, Greywood Primary Academy in Lichfield opened its doors on 1 September 2026, helping to meet the growing demand for primary school places in the area.
As well as recognising our commitment to educational excellence, the award of our first Free School also represented a strong endorsement of Primitas as a credible, established, and high-performing Multi-Academy Trust with the expertise, capacity, and vision to successfully open and sustain a new school serving its local community.
We also work closely with the LA on the Staffordshire Enhanced District Inclusion Support (SEDIS) Programme.
This gives two of our academies, Queens Croft High School, Ridgeway Primary Academy the opportunity to collaborate with a school from another Trust in order to help mainstream schools to meet the needs of children and young people who face barriers to learning.
This Local Authority-led programme promotes inclusive practice, strengthens schools' ability to support vulnerable learners, and encourages the sharing of evidence-informed approaches across the sector. And we are proud to be a part of it.
Our involvement in SEDIS further enhances Primitas's reputation as an inclusive and outward-facing Trust that is willing and able to contribute to the wider education system. It also provides our staff with rich professional development opportunities, allowing them to deepen their expertise, engage with a diverse range of educational contexts, and remain at the forefront of developments in inclusion and alternative provision.
In addition, our work within the SEDIS framework enables us to contribute to, and learn from, Staffordshire's graduated approach to targeted support and alternative provision. This, in turn helps to inform and strengthen practice across our own schools, ensuring that we remain responsive to the needs of all learners.
